Event-reaction grids
When a qualifying event occurs, we publish a 72-hour reaction grid showing what each of the 12 indexed leaders said — verbatim — and who stayed silent. Published in real time, not retroactively.
3–4 February 2026 · Qualifying criterion: attack with 50+ dead
12/12 leaders silent within the 72-hour window. None of the indexed accounts — from any political camp — published a single tweet about one of the deadliest attacks in Nigeria in months.
Qualifying criteria
A grid is published when an event involving a country or actor in the 17-crisis dictionary meets at least one threshold:
- Attack or massacre with 50+ dead in a single incident
- Repression wave with 100+ documented arrests or large-scale lethal use of force
- War outbreak or major escalation (first strikes, invasion declaration)
- Mass execution documented by international bodies (UN, Amnesty, HRW)
These criteria are fixed and pre-published. No event is selected retroactively. If an event does not meet the threshold, no grid is published — regardless of media coverage intensity. · Full grid methodology
